Welcome to the Share and Coulter Petanque Club website

The team was formed at the beginning of 2010 by players from the Herne Bay and Yellabacks teams who play in the East Kent Coastal Petanque League and who wanted to join the Kent League. Most of us had played in the Kent League in the past, some with more success than others! We started at the bottom and came second in League Division 7 in our first season, and were runners-up in the Kent League Handicap Triples at Hartley Country Club on 17th October 2010.We entered for the EPA EuroCup for the 2010/11 winter season but this was a short event for us as we were knocked out in the first round.

For 2011 we played in Division 6 following our promotion and had another successful season winning the league and being unbeaten.  In addition we got to the semi-final of the plate competition where we lost to Lordswood Lightning, the eventual winners of the plate.  Two teams participated the the KL handicap triples and got to the semi finals of the main event and the plate.  The only downer was again the EuroCup where we were drawn against Meadow in the first round and predictably found ourselves on the end of a whitewash, but not all of us got fannied!

Our aims are to:

• Progress through the league
• Make new friends in the wider Petanque community
• Enter competitions
• Attract new players to the game and to the club
• And above all, to enjoy playing petanque
